SF FOOOOOOOD

SF is beautiful.

I was staying with Steph and Hua who live in the Embarcadero, right by the water...

And more importantly...right by the Ferry Building.

Similar to Quincy Market in Boston, the Ferry Building is a giant hall filled with FOOD.

A super diverse mix of food and people.

For appetizers we opted for Korean Beef Tacos...

Kimchi fried rice with bacon topped with egg (OMG OMG OMG)

Followed by meat sammiches...

MARIN SUN FARMS PORCHETTA
with elephant heart pluot mostarda and mustard greens...

MARIN SUN FARMS RARE ROAST BEEF
with genoevese basil pesto, beefsteak tomatoes and dandelion greens....

And for dessert we had super special sorbet.

Mine was Vanilla-Almond and SO FREAKIN' GOOD.

SF fun

So I had to go to SF to take corporate headshots for a venture capital firm.

Corporate headshots are the best and easiest gig ever because normally the clients are not very particular, nor do they have very high expectations, if any, for how their pictures turn out. Most of the time they figure they'll be like passport photos and will come out looking awful, so when I deliver a pretty, photoshopped picture of them looking 10 years younger and 30 lbs lighter they are generally very pleased.

Anyway.

After my shoot I met up with VVR at a french bistro called Gamine. It was a really delicious with a Roquefort and grilled onion slathered burger I ate so fast I didn't even have time to take a picture. Oops.

Post-dinner we climbed the super steep hills of the city to find Victoria's car, and her boyfriend Charles ripped the ass of his pants.

They dropped me off at a sketchy bar called Gas Light where Bralex was celebrating Alex's birthday.

With BEER!

And raughter.

Yeebee met up.

And it was pretty low-key.

Until we got attacked by a homeless.

San Franciscoooo

So I love daytime flying. Even if I am stuck on some god-awful United flight with a bitchy queen flight attendant who sticks his nose up a little higher each time he walks by my row.

Goodbye beautiful Los Angeles!

Hello beautiful cloud magic land!

One hour later...and I'm in the SFO.

Picked up my rental car. Hit up downtown.

Paid Ralph a visit.

And finally arrived at Hua's pad, also known as GotGame HQ.

From there we headed to Isa - delicious Asian seafoody fusion restaurant - to meet up with VVR.

Food = FOOD = FOOOOOOOOOOODDDDD

After that we hit up a local tavern for some St. Patty's Day Celebrating.

(Apparently the Pope said we could celebrate St. Patty's on Saturday but I don't think everyone got the memo.)

Victoria just happened to have Cadbury Creme Eggs in her purse. Amazing.

Also present? Deerfield people!

Last time I saw Textor was at that charity event in Tarzana...

...and weirdness? In a week he's going to start working for GotGame with Hua!

Over the course of the evening, randoms kept coming up to Victoria and I to take pictures with us.

Weird.

I think it was combination Tall-Asian/Giant-Hat.

Happy St. Patty's Laddys!
